2007 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Saturday & Sunday, June 2 & 3, 2007

Place: Carmichael, California

The International Geranium Society is very pleased and excited to announce that the Annual General Meeting this year is being expanded to 2 days rather then the normal 1 day meeting. This is due to the efforts of the host club, the Carmichael Geranium Society, to whom we give special thanks. The dates of the 2007 Annual Meeting are Saturday and Sunday, June 2 and 3, in Carmichael, California, a suburb of Sacramento.

LOCATION OF MEETING:

Carmichael Park Administration Building, 5750 Grant Avenue, Carmichael, CA.

AGENDA:

SATURDAY JUNE 2

09:00 - Carmichael Geranium Society will officially welcome IGS members.

10:00 - Plant sale of very special pelargoniums and geraniums plus other pelargonium related items.

• Open to IGS and Carmichael Geranium Society members only until Noon when it will be opened to the general public.
• The plant sale will close at 4 PM Saturday.
  

SUNDAY JUNE 3

09:30 - Official IGS Annual General Meeting for all IGS members.

• Official IGS business will be conducted including the announcement of the new board members and the new board officers.
• Upon completion of IGS business, speakers will give talks on pelargonium related subjects.
• Following the talks, a luncheon will be served.
• We will then be entertained by a lively auction of some choice pellies by Donn Reiners.
• To end the meeting, there will be a very special announcement that you will not want to miss.
• The meeting will adjourn at 2:30 PM.
  

SPEAKERS:

• 'Hooray for Hoarea' by Maria Boza and Kurt Kuss of Seaside, CA
• 'Regals' by Brenda Archer & Cynthis Pardoe, originators of the Regal Preservation Project
• 'Homeowner Pesticide Use; the Do's and Don'ts' by Janice Kendel, Pesticide Use Enforcement biologist.

IGS is fortunate that the Carmichael Club has secured special hotel rates for those attending from out of the area.

Accommodations - La Quinta Hotel (about 3 miles from the meeting venue), 4604 Madison Avenue, Sacramento, phone 916 348-0900.

• Single room $81 plus tax
• Double room $86 plus tax.

• Cut off date for the discount is May 15, 2007.
• The nights of June 1 and 2 are reserved/annual meeting weekend is June 2 & 3rd.
• Registrants will arrange their own carpooling to the annual meeting.

REGISTRATION - $12.50, includes lunch.

Registration is open to all IGS members, no matter where they reside, England, New England, Timbuktu. You are all welcome if you are a member and we hope to see you there.
